Energetic Touch Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage is a mobilisation of the soft tissues in order to induce relaxation. Therapeutic massage uses a combination of specific massage techniques to produce a therapeutic effect. Therapeutic massage can be used to reduce stress, decrease pain and increase feeling of calmness and well-being. Therapeutic massage can also produce many physiological effects, which benefit the body. Physiological effects such as reduced heart rate, increased blood circulation, increased temperature and stimulation of sensory receptors. Techniques used within a therapeutic massage can also help to stretch and loosen soft tissues allowing more movement around joints.

Therapeutic Massage

This form of massage draws on the wisdom of many different healing systems, such as Acupressure, Indian Head Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupressure, and Reflexology. It is done without creams, oils, or other products. It is a wonderful massage meant to help relax and rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit, as well as offer numerous benefits for the face. By bringing a healing touch to the face and head areas, we can help our clients look and feel younger. Skin tone can be improved, and facial lines reduced. It refines pores, helps to normalize oil production, and makes the skin smoother. A reduction of dark lines under the eyes may also be achieved. All skin types will respond positively to facial massage, since massage keeps the collagen and elastin fibres wet and warm, encouraging and stimulating their growth. Hot towels are also incorporated into this treatment.

Rejuvenating Face Massage

Traditionally Thai massage is done on a mat on the floor. Unlike traditional Thai massage, Table Thai Massage is performed on a massage table and clients remain fully clothed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility. Your massage therapist will guide you through yoga poses, manipulating your body into stretches. They will use their thumbs, palms, forearms, hands, elbows, knees, and feet to guide you into a series of yoga-like stretches while also applying rocking, compressions, acupressure, and other Thai massage techniques. It is often called the “lazy man” yoga because it passively stretches the client. The techniques are great for improving flexibility in athletes or anyone interested in a great stretch! Its techniques will open your joints, stretch your muscles and tendons and balance your energy. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, physical and mental well being. 

*This style of massage is practiced fully clothed - please wear loose fitting clothing.

-The entire 60 minute session, you will be lying face up on the massage table.
-The 75 and 90 minute sessions, include work on the posterior side and or the side lying position as well as lying face up. I always recommend booking the 90 minute Thai Massage.


Table Thai Massage 

This guided meditation massage is a deeply relaxing and healing treatment, combining a full body massage to relax and heal your body with a guided meditation to soothe your mind. 

The mind-body connection is a powerful one. Massage Therapy in itself naturally calms the body and mind and so does mindfulness- so the two combined can provide a even deeper relaxing experience, calms our busy minds, and redirects our focus on the important work being done on specific body parts.

What will actually occur if I book a Mindful Meditation Massage Therapy session?

Everything you would expect from a regular Massage Therapy Session, except the focus will be of you being mindful of your experience during the Massage Treatment. This will likely include focused deep-breathing, being mindful of your breathe and body; and generally integrating complete relaxation into your therapeutic treatment. 



Mindful Meditation Massage

Acupressure is a form of massage therapy that involves applying pressure to certain points on the body to address ailments. According to traditional Chinese medicine, we have meridians or channels throughout the body. Qi, which is understood as life-sustaining energy force, runs along these meridians. Qi can become stuck at some point along the meridians, and the goal of acupressure is to keep the energy flowing using pressure at specific point with the aim of clearing blockages in the meridians.

Cupping Massage

IASTM is a technique that is a modified version of GuaSha. This newer, modern technique uses stainless steel tools that acts as an extension of your hand often used to treat muscular skeletal conditions by applying friction type techniques across the skin. The goal of IASTM is to break-up scar tissue and adhesions formed in and around muscles to bring inflammation to the area. The inflammation response helps the body absorb scar tissue and helps realign collagen fibres into correct form. Once muscle fibres are realigned, range of movement is increased and this helps transform your soft tissue injury into healthy functioning tissue once again. It is easily integrated with massage therapy to provide safe and effective soft tissue mobilization. 



IASTM- Muscle Scraping Therapy

Hot Stone Massage is an ancient practice that uses heated natural Basalt stones that are placed on precise points along the body to create soothing pressure. These stones are rich in Iron and so retain heat longer. Swedish Massage is performed by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of the blood returning to the heart to enhance the positive effect of this Massage. Hot Stone Massage benefits include relaxation, stress release, help with back pain, and improvements to depression or anxiety.

Paraffin wax is a natural emollient that helps make the skin supple and soft while also delivering a deep, moist heat to muscles and joints. Integrating a paraffin wax treatment as a massage add-on can easily enhance the client's experience by offering deep warmth and moisture. This treatment involves dipping the clients hands or feet into warm, melted paraffin wax, then wrapping them to lock in the heat. The heat from the wax helps increase blood circulation and relax the muscles, while the wax itself moisturizes and softens the skin.

Paraffin Therapy

The Ionic detoxification foot soak is a gentle natural method that pulls unwanted toxins out of the body by a bio energetic ionic exchange. It is excellent for those who need to detoxify the body, to restore or to maintain an overall state of well-being and energy. The device energizes the water with negative and positive ions through a process called electrolysis. The toxins circulating through the blood stream in the region of the feet are also charged particles. They will be naturally drawn to the opposite charged ions in the water. A session typically lasts approx. 30 minutes. When finished your feet will be rinsed off and followed by a mini foot massage. Most people will feel relaxed , balanced and focused after a treatment. There is usually no pain. People who suffer from excessive toxicity may experience some discomfort as their bodies release toxins from the tissues for elimination. Some may experience fatigue, headaches, dizziness or nausea.
